Sedation dentistry uses medication to ease anxiety and take the edge off of dental procedures. At Lush Dental and Implants, we offer nitrous oxide as well as IV sedation by special request.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): This mild form of dental sedation is administered through a small mask placed on the nose. Within moments, you should feel a sweeping sense of calm and relaxation, helping make treatments more pleasant. You'll remain awake and responsive throughout treatment. Nitrous oxide wears off almost immediately after treatment, allowing you to go on with your daily activities right after your appointment. 

IV Sedation: For patients with severe anxiety or those requiring extensive or complex treatments, we are happy to offer IV sedation by special request. A board-certified anesthesiologist will oversee your care right here at our Hudson Oaks office, ensuring your comfort and safety at every step. With IV sedation, you'll experience a deeper level of relaxation, but you will remain conscious throughout treatment. Most patients don't remember much of their treatment.
