What Should I Expect With a Tooth Extraction?

To complete a simple extraction, we will loosen the tooth using a special device known as an elevator before removal. A surgical extraction entails making incisions in your gums to get to the tooth. If necessary, the tooth may be broken into smaller pieces so it can be taken out. When the tooth has been removed, our dental practitioner will stitch the incision in the gums. Our team can prescribe antibiotics to be taken prior to and after the procedure — in case you have a current infection, if your immune system is compromised, if the process is extended, or if you have some other special medical problems.

Dr. Okojie and his staff are amazing! I've gone to two different dentist in town for a wisdom tooth extraction and was either given the run around or quoted an absurd amount. Dr. Perpetua Okojie is the gentlest dentist I have ever been to. My first visit with her was informative and detailed. When she removed a wisdom tooth she was quick and caused no pain. I also have to mention their wonderful staff as well. Dr.s Okojie’s staff are always friendly, kind and courteous. When you walk in they make you feel welcomed and at ease. You will not regret visiting Lush dental.
Hands down the BEST IN TOWN!!!! Leave your dentist and come to Lush Dental. Coming from a person with severe anxiety and fear of the dentist due to a past traumatizing experience with another dentist in town I HIGHLY recommend Lush Dental! Both Dr. Okojie and their staff are very kind and make you feel at ease! I had some extractions and also a deep cleaning done recently and I will say I am very HAPPY with what all they have done. They made each procedure easy and pain free! I love also that they care so much because I am pregnant and they made sure that I was well taken care of through the process!! One thing I know for sure is that they have made my experience very easy and peaceful that I can say I like going to the dentist!
The entire staff is very friendly, very clean and no pain extractions!!! Dr. Sheldrak O. made me feel very comfortable considering I was terrified to get all my teeth pulled, he had to cut a few teeth out and shave bone and made sure I felt no pain. He was very understanding when I went to get my dentures relined. His assistant was very friendly and also made me feel comfortable. My experience with Lush Dental has been awesome!!!
